on february 25, 2021, the china economics annual conference held the governing unit (online) meeting. the meeting underwent the general election at the expiration of office terms of former secretary-general, professor zhang xiaobo. after nomination, election and other procedures, professor yang rudai from the school of economics at peking university was elected as the new secretary-general of the china economics annual conference for a term of 5 years.
founded in 2001, the china economics annual conference aims to strengthen the exchanges and cooperation between the economics departments of chinese universities and colleges along with other economic research and teaching institutions at home and abroad, to build an open platform for scholars and students engaged in economics teaching and research, and to build a free, inclusive, rigorous and pragmatic academic environment for the development of chinese economics teaching and academic research.
personal profile
yang rudai, born in 1980, associate professor of the school of economics at peking university, and a distinguished professor listed in yangtze river scholars of the ministry of education. his research fields are development economics and industrial economics. he presided over a number of research programs such as the 14th five-year plan special projects of national natural science fund and other major projects of the national social science fund. his papers are published in journals such as economic research and management world (chinese journal), world development and journal of business ethics (english journal).
